T minus One Day

I can't believe that it has been so long since I last wrote! Holy Hannah, so much has happened... Well, there is no point in putting it off, so I'll just tell you--I'm Pregnant!!!!! (not) okay so I'm just kidding but I made your heart skip a beat didn't I? You totally believed it for a second and you got really pissed off that you were finding out in my blog, and not from me in person. Just admit it! (I'm not really sure who "you" are, since I'm pretty sure nobody ever reads this blog, especially as of late since I haven't written in ages but oh well.)

Summer semester is basically over for me, which is SUCH a relief! I just have a couple things that I need to do tomorrow and then I'm Done. This has been the hardest semester of my life (schoolwise) but I think I've also learned the most. Since I'm basically done with all the generals, I'm getting into the major stuff, which is what I love. It's a big challenge, but I've loved all of my projects. This semester, one of the biggest things I've learned is that time is my worst enemy, but if I pace myself, and figure out how long I need to complete certain things, I can turn it into one of my strengths.

I had six classes this semester, they were Graphic Design, Visual Media, Advertising, Media Law and Ethics, Church History, and Comm 100 [taken a little late :)].  It was hard to balance all that out with work, homework, sleeping, eating, and John time, but I made it through. Balance is another thing that I've struggled with, and I think most people do, but I think overall I did a pretty good job. I believe I will have all A's and A-'s, possibly a B or B+ in Graphic Design (it was a super tough class--the boot camp of design is what my teacher called it). Either way, I'm pretty sure I will be awarded a half tuition scholarship for the next two semesters!! So that will be really nice.

This week I've been having crazy dreams again. John says I've been doing really weird things in my sleep too. Like last night he woke up and I was like grasping his shoulder and rubbing it. One night I had recurring dreams with different settings, but in every single one I was being hunted by a rapter! It was terrifying! Maybe it's because I've been stressed with school, but all I know is that in one of my dreams my best friend got her head bitten by a rapter while she was sitting on my living room couch. Worst dream ever!

I went to school and work today, and I just have no motivation to study for my last final tomorrow. I should also really clean my apartment....this is me putting everything off............................................ My feet hurt! What happened to my motivation? It would really only take 15 or twenty minutes to clean up the place. And I don't even have that much to study, but I just feel like sitting here.... Have you ever noticed yourself doing things you wouldn't normally do when you are trying to put things off? Normally I start deep cleaning when I'm putting off homework... That's when you know that I really don't want to do something--I start cleaning heardcore!

Here is another question I was thinking about this morning in the shower. Is it just me, or does everybody follow the same routine in the shower? For me it's wash the face, shampoo, conditioner (let it soak in while I do the next few steps), wash the bod, shave (usually every other day), and then rinse the hair. I do this every time without fail. Okay actually sometimes I switch and save the conditioner for last, but not much anymore. And then I realized I dry off with my towel in basically the same way every time! All of this is subconscious, but it's so interesting to see the habits that I form and don't even know about. I wonder if it's like that for most people, or if I'm just a weirdo.... John has the same shower routine, but I haven't asked him about the dry off thing. Hmmmmm... If anyone reads this they should put a comment and tell me.

I think that I need to stay in better contact with my family, especially immediate, but extended as well. Life gets so busy and sometimes I lose track of what's going on with people, but that is not good. Family is my number one, so I need to improve on keeping them a bigger part of my life.

Wow, my blog is just all over the place today. I think maybe my brain is fried. Maybe it's the
Spaghetti O's I ate a little while ago? Who knows. Either way, I should probably get going, you probably stopped reading by now anyway. Maybe I'll clean and then do some homework. Maybe I won't... I just really want to watch the Bachelorette! But I have to wait for John to get home, and he won't be home until 10, so we might have to watch it tomorrow, but it's just going to be so intense! Ahhhhhhhh!

Adventures:

#1. I finished [almost] another great semester in college.
#2. I've been working at K-Mart for a year and three months today.
#3. One of my final posters for my design class got chosen as one of the best to be hung up on the wall in the Art building.
#4. I love Photoshop (okay, maybe that is a fact, not an adventure, but I just think it deserves a spot.)
#5. I want a puppy (again not an adventure, but it's my blog so I'll write what I want thanks.)
#6. I bought some Ovaltine! Haven't had that stuff in forever! It reminds me of my great grandma :)

I had the most terrible dream last night!! I'd forgotten all about it until I was eating my morning Mini Wheats, but then it came to me! I was at the grocery store shopping with my two older brothers when they grabbed an extra pallet mover thing that a workder had left out on the floor and they put it under a couple pallets. I asked them why they were doing it and they told me that if you have a pallet mover you can just walk out of the store with stuff, and you won't get caught stealing it. For some reason this didn't bother me until we got close to the doors and they decided they were going to grab the huge 7 up Soda vending machine. I told them they were stupid and would never get away with it, but they ignored me. Then I left and told them I didn't want any part in what they were doing. I got home, but it wasn't home, but my mom and dad were there, as well as my bff Jessica. When my brothers got home there were cops chasing them. They ran inside and locked the door, but the cops just followed them in and started arresting people. I yelled at Mark to tell them that we had nothing to do with it and he did but for some reason they still arrested my dad! As they were leaving my mom ran out saying she wanted them to take her instead of my dad, but they shot her right through the heart. I think that's the most I've ever cried in a dream, but then in my dream, I woke up and it was all a dream. So I was dreaming that I'd been dreaming! I went and got in bed with my mom. It was insane!

So anyway, lets see, what are my adventures lately? Yesterday we accidently slept through part of church because we forgot to set our clocks forward. We still made it to Sacrament Meeting because it is last hour, and our ward got split. Our half got to keep the old Biship which I'm very happy about. He's a really cool guy. We have a calling in the library :)

Oh and hello, biggest adventure of all! I got a MacBookPro!!!!!! I'm typing on it right now! It's sooooo cool! There are so many cool things you can do just by using a certain number of keys on the mouse pad thing. and the graphics are amazing, the battery lasts forever too! I love it soooo much. And it has a webcam, so I can talk to people on Skype. I talked to Jessica the other day and gave her a virtual tour of the apartment. It was pretty sweet!

My other BFF Mariesa is in dissapear mode... Apparently she ran over her phone a while back, but I'm sure she's found a new one by now, she just won't call me like I told her to. Sheesh.

Anyway, I need to hop in the shower because I have to go to work in a little while. I've really been dreading work lately.... I don't know why, but I just have a hard time wanting to go, which is weird because it's the one job I've every had that I didn't really hate.  It's just getting old I guess, I've almost hit my one year mark!

Adventure #1: I woke up to a kiss from my baby sweet cheeks this morning (which was before I had the dream--I went back to sleep after he gave me my pill).
Adventure #2: I've learned how to use my mac quite quickly and am loving it!
Adventure #3: My sisters might be coming up this weekend.
Adventure #4: On saturday John and I went on a double date with Rustelle and Dexter, we went to dinner in Idaho Falls and then headed south for Lava Hot Springs, but it ended up being closed! So we talk an hour and a half drive for nothing! What a waste of gas! But we got some good talk time in, so I guess it's okay :)

Home Again, Home Again (well almost)...

Okay wow! So there is no possible way that I could write out all of the adventures that we had on our cruise this past week. It was absolutely fantastic, and it was just what I needed to get me out of the boring, repetitive rexburg lifestyle. But before I tell you about the cruise I have to tell you about a new, very unpleasant condition in the life of John and I. Apparently, John's elbow and my body are not getting along very well because in the last couple weeks I have gotten whacked in the nose (which was in the middle of the night, and yes, there was blood), gotten a bruise next to my knee cap, and just now recieved a fat and bloody lip, all courtesy of John's elbow. He feels terrible about the whole thing, but it seems that no matter what we do, his elbow and my body parts keep seeming to collide!

Okay, now that I've unpdated you on that, we can get into the REALLY good stuff!!!!!! Yes, I know that's a lot of exclamation marks, and according to most english professors, you should stay away from them alltogether, but honestly, the trip is worth even more exclamation marks than I put, so just deal with it okay :) Anywho, we arrived at Port Canaveral on Sunday the 7th, said goodbye to Juliann and the kids, and headed into the Royal caribbean terminal--passports in hand. I got my passport about 5 years ago, and I look pretty much the same, how sad is that? Oh and John got his before he left on his mission, and apparently he thought he was a total gangster back then, because that is totally what he looks like in his passport photo--totally like bad boy. It's really funny. We went through all the security and got into the check in line, which was FOREVER long. And it's just our luck that by the time we get up to the front, there is no line left, we got there at like the worst possible time, but during the rest of the cruise, we got really lucky where lines were concerned, in fact it turned out quite the opposite. We didn't mind. Next we headed for the ship.

Freedom of the Seas holds (correct me if I'm wrong) 3,600 people, but it's so big and there is so much going on that you'd never know. The whole time we were on the ship, it didn't ever feel crouded. I got my first icecream cone as we were leaving the port and wow, I have two or three everday after that. They were the delicious soft serve kind and the chocolate ones were fantastic! I may have gained a few pounds just from the icecream :) It was pretty much all you can eat food for whenever you want, even the room service was free. Our first stop was in Haiti. We woke up to some music that was being played live on the beautiful green island. It was a perfect temperature, and the beach was great. Royal Caribbean had it's own private beach and resort, which was nice, but I kind of wish that I'd been able to see more of the island. We rented some cool beach mats that floated on the water, and relaxed while bobbing up and down in the ocean.

Next we went to Jamaica (my personal favorite) where we went to Coyaba River Gardens and Museum, and then to Dunns River Falls. We actually hiked up a waterfall there, and it was absutely amazing! The waterfall was like 600 feet high and the water didn't flow very fast so it wasn't very hard, but I didn't mind having John there with me to help me up the sketchy parts :) We had a lot of fun, and during the trip John got offered mary jay at least 10 times! Either he looks like a pothead, or he's the right age for their target buyers... hopefully the latter... haha.

We were supposed to go to Grand Cayman Islands but the ferries that were supposed to come pick us up from the ship wouldn't come because the water was too choppy, so we had a day at sea instead. We were really dissapointed because we were going to swim with sting rays there, plus that is where we planned to do most of our shopping! Once we got out to sea it was a really nice day though, lots of warm sunshine. I got a lot of tan on that day. Mexico was the final place that we stopped. We took a ferrie ride from the island Cozumel to the mainland.  It took about 40 minutes and it was really rocking back and forth. Quite a few people got sea sick, it was sorta gross. We went to Tulum, which was exciting but not nearly what I was expecting. When we signed up for it online, they made it sound like we would be going inside multiple temples and buildings, but we didn't get to go inside anywhere. I wasn't very satisfied with our tour guide either, but it was still an awesome place. I loved being there and imagining that it was back in the day when the Myans were living there. It was cool to imagine the nephites or lamanites being the ones who built it and lived there, which is very likely.

While we were on the ship there were many activities that range from rock climbing to ice skating to mini golfing to magic shows. Speaking of magic shows--John was chosen out of the audience to be up on stage with the magician, and of course my face turned red for him! It was really cool. We was part of the illusion where they cut a woman in half. He put a leash around the womans neck and held it to make sure that she didn't move around. The show was actually done really well!

Goodbye Idaho, Utah and Florida--Helloooooo Caribbean!!!

This will be short and sweet, because I'm hanging out at my cousins house in Orlando. She will be taking us to the port in about an hour and a half, and I still need to take a shower.  Her kids are my favorite, Little Sara and I have been having tickle wars with John, it has been quite exciting! Our first stop on the cruise will be Haiti, and then Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, and Mexico. In the duration of our trip we will be lounging on the beach, shopping at exotic locations, going to museums, hiking waterfalls, swimming with sting rays, and my personal favorite, touring the myan ruins and temples at Tulum! It's going to be the alltime adventure of adventures!!!! Can't wait to experience it so that I can write about it :) Well my favorite maltese (Jack the dog) just joined me on the couch so I'd better go! Happy vacation!
